First off is the cool pictures of the butterflies. You get to walk through a little greenhouse type enclosure and sometimes they land on you. It is nice. There were a few that were out for lunch which you can see them feasting on a plate.
I had several like this one below here but most of them didn't turn out well because I had my long lens on and I cannot hold still for the life of me. I didn't have a tripod either but I'm beginning to think I need some kind of carrier for it on my back.
Also there they had a dino exhibit. Quite nice for the little boy who loves anything related to dinos, bones, cars and things like that.
All this garbage and a little more which you cannot see well in this photo was pulled out of a whale that washed up on shore dead. Can you believe all that from one whale? This is gross and no wonder they say to go green! my heavens what are we doing to our oceans?
For some reason my edited version wont post so here it is unedited. Oh well I suppose it is still good.
The kid is fascinated with bones now. I don't know why really but he loves them. So he was pointing to the different parts and telling us what kind of bone they were. "This is the nose bone" he says.
"This is the head bone right here" he said again. What a character. We went to the library and he got a book about bones. Im about ready to let him see a picture of Temperance Brennan and tell him her name is Bones.
Always cool things at a science museum...you can even see how many calories you are burning. Look at her go!
