Picture Fair

Before I get to the fair I wanted to show you a picture of the scene out my deck last week. It was quite interesting.  It was much more orange than the picture shows here but the lack of light you know doesnt allow for a good exposure.

Another shot only b/w here which I like to see the misty and full clouds which dropped rain later that day.
On to the fair.  Since I wasnt able to pull a rope over a pit of mashed potatoes, or bag a line of spuds faster than anyone else I had to choose to do the Puyallup instead.  First stop the of course is a ride for the kids.  I loved the antique sign though my skills on something non-nature is very lacking.
Another angle figured it would look good b/w or perhaps sepia but this one is just b/w.
You can tell the kids enjoyed them especially this boy!
Around the stables were all the animals goats, cows, llama types and swine.  Sure glad the kids got this experience.

Little baby cow doesnt know what life it has ahead of it.  It is sure cute though.  It is only 10 days old.
These are llama type animals but it is a great angle for a picture I think with the contrasting lines from the fence and rope.  Way to go babe you take great pictures!
Just loved the sign on this garbage can.
Of course everyones favorite part were the baby swine!  It is fun to say and even cuter to look at!  Sleeping and feeding is their lot in life for now.  One day they will consort with spiders or perhaps herd sheep and learn their code.

A leg of turkey, a few corn dogs and curly fries and a elephant ear (huge scone) drenched with sugar and cinnamon and sugar, cotton candy, and lemonade are definitely musts and so we partook.  There is just something about sweet sugar and white and creamy dripping butter that just makes you go mmmh!!!  Diabetes here I come!
