Classic or Crisis

I cant decide which it is but I am hitting the big 3 0 by the time any of you read this.

30 things to do all at once
30 things on the mind all at once
30 times I tell my kids to sit and eat their food at each meal
30 times I forget to do something a day
30 things that need to be fixed each day
30 more bills that come in each month
30 times a day, if not more, I would love to get hugs and kisses for my family
30 minutes of alone time is what I long for
30 seconds of silence really is golden
30 zits I still get
30 is more than I make an hour at the age of 30
30 friends I have but wish were here with me
30 days of rain and clouds I have here
30 degrees higher temperatures in California than here
30 ways each day I can try and show my family I love them
30 ways I see how much my daughter is learning and has to learn
30 minutes is a GREAT! nap
30 minutes to get ready in the morning
30 seconds to cook a hotdog for lunch
30 the cost of dinner for 2
30 minutes to the temple

I guess I am just really stuck with this 30 thing.  I cant decide if I feel like it is a classic age I should enjoy or if I am going to have a young midlife crisis.  I looked at the families in church and realized Im one of the old kind. Ones who sit in church wanting to feel the spirit and build their testimony but are slouching in their seat from exhaustion. Ones that love all the things they can do in life but feel the crushing blow of the impact of all the have to do's.

It really isnt depression so I just hope you all dont take it that way. I see it more of a transition in my life now from a mental stage of "younger" person and family to "older" one.  Doesnt mean it is bad.  Some people like to call it Seasoned. Personally I never liked that saying because it either means someone is about to eat you or  you have had immense trials and I dont want that either.

So here is to my 30 things to figure out about my life still to come with a wonderful wife and chidlren, even if they spit on each other 30 times a day (they dont really, but maybe at least once they do).  Couldnt do it without them and I am glad I have them with me in my Classic crisis of 30th birthday!

Oh and by the way presents are accepted you can search me and my address on amazon wishlist with my email address ;)  come on what kid of a freeloading family member and friend would I be without the solicitation for gifts.  Check and cash is accepted too!
