Alum Rock Park Trip

We took a trip up to Alum Rock Park. There was hiking, picnic areas, horseshoes, bike paths and playground. We saw this fantastic looking tree and had a mini photoshoot there because it just provides for good indirect lighting. There is a tree like this in Connecticut but it is much bigger. You would just have to see it to believe it though.

We played on the playground and I tried to get some motion shots of the kids on the tire swing. They love that swing and where on it quite a while. This other little girl was someone we dont know but wanted to swing also. She was kind of mean to J'alee. She always wanted to race on everything and anytime J'alee won the girl would say it was a tie. There were a lot of ties, but they played well together otherwise.

We took their bikes along with us they rode as we walked up the path to the mineral springs and back down. On the way down there was hills. Both K and I were trying to teach J'alee to break and Baby J just went cruising by and on to the grass towards the little cliff to the creek. Lucky mom and dad had pretty fast reflexes to stop him. It happened again and there was some confusing on who was stopping who. Baby J was quickly stopped but J'alee kept going down the path faster and faster. The cliff wasnt the problem it was the speed and lack of knowledge and confidence to break. Needless to say that ride came to a crashing hult and bandaids cured the broken skin and pride.

After that we had dinner at home and watched a movie together. Nim's Island is a decent movie. The little girl in it does a pretty good acting job and Jody Foster does a good job in this movie as well. It is worth a rent one time at least.
