We headed down to Natural Bridges State Park in Santa Cruz. I talked up how cool it was to see 100,000 monarch butterflies in a little grove of trees. At one point I even said they were an numerous as the leaves on the trees.
We looked up...
we looked right...
we looked left and straight ahead...
but we only found 5 high up in the trees. I hard forgotten we had a very cold spell and the butterflies probably buggered off so they wouldn't freeze.
Instead we decided to head down to Natural Bridge State Beach. There we saw the tide come in. Lots of people, birds and fun.
Now we know why he is nicked named grandpa with no hair in the middle (below).
We drew and played in the sand.
We also had a little bit of fun with the camera and a the sun being just a little too high for "golden hour".
