Tale of the Smarty Pants

All of us have used the words smarty pants in our daily speech.  I have done it loads of times.  But do we even know what that looks like?  Let me paint you a picture of what a smarty pants looks like.

No that's Pale Green Pants with Nobody Inside Them (curtosey of Dr S and illustrator).  I think that I have found what smarty pants looks like! Here it is.... are you ready?

Yes that's right Baby J is smarty pants.  We were eating dinner and like a typical kid he wasnt eating it all.  So we did the typical parent thing and said "you have to eat however many bites for how old you are".  A look of deep concentration came over him for just a moment then with a slightly evil smile.  Then with smarty pants brilliance he help up one finger tentatively close to his face.

Of course we had to laugh at how smart he was.  So when I say smarty pants it is good he is so smart to think fast like that and be more clever than his parents.  Dad learned his lesson to not try that typical parent trick a second time.
