Zoo & Park: Day 1

There is a little zoo and park here.  I couldnt believe it but it is even smaller than the zoo in my home town.  They do have rides and a huge tree house play structure that Jamis loves!

Jamis loves the carosaul but the older kids just do it for the animals and to be good to their little brother.  Thanks kids!  Baby J picked this one because it has a fish in its mouth...RAWR!!
Lookin summer time cool in her shades!  I think this girl really loves dolphins!
This isnt much of a ride for the kids anymore, but it sure does tickle the tummy and bring some big smiles!  Cant wait for Jamis to be able to do this one!
The benefits of bigger kids is sending them with the younger ones so you dont have to get motion sickness from doing the same rides over and over again!
You can tell here those that the big kids dont like the little rides as much.  I think Baby J might actually go to sleep on this ride!
Silly swings toned down.  Yes, it is possible to tone down silly swings.
Believe it or not these tiki/totem prompted a chorus of Tiki Room from Baby J.  I like the picture because this is how Jamis is all day.  Curious about everything he wants to see it all, handle it all and touch it all!  It is wonderful, messy, creative and destructive all at the same time.
Just had to get a close up of Jamis here!  He doesnt smile a whole lot because he battles for his independence from the other kids.  But when you do see a smile it is worth more than gold!
The park does have one "big" rollercoaster.  I actually would do it and Im petrified of rollercoasters.  So you know it was pretty weaksauce for the kids.  It did bring tummy tickles and some thrills though.

These pictures are so, so fun Blake! I'm so glad you have excursions with your kids. They will always, always remember that. You are a great dad. They are having a ball and it's so great for grandma to see them. I got a little teary just thinking about how fast kids grow up. Thanks for the pics. Keep em coming. Fun day!
