Another Review

Tonight I watched a few masters and their work which was filmed and broadcast through radio waves wireless to my laptop while I laid in bed. The wonderful Meryl Streep and the fantastic Stanley Tucci play a fun and corky couple in yet again another movie I could watch several times over and still enjoy. It is the story of Julia Child's and her cookbook. Amy Adams, who I did not recognize at first played Julie a meager New Yorker who endeavored to cook her way through the French Cuisine created by Julia Child while blogging her way through it.

Perhaps it is just because I enjoy blogging and food so much that I dont stop eating it when I should that gets to me but I dare say that this movie was my favorite of 2009! It does even top The Blind Side which is the only other movie in 2009 that I enjoyed and wasnt bored during. I do think that Meryl Streep did better than Sandra Bullock but they both were good in their performances.

Check it out from the redbox, itunes, play it free of netflix or if I dare say it rent it from the store...eek does anyone do that anymore? One slight word of caution there is one surprise word that starts with an f that I was shocked to hear!

i agree, this movie was fantastic! Taylor was really pretty skeptical when I dragged him out to see it, but once we were immersed into all that amazing French food and such, we melted. Two nights later, we made beef bourgignon... and ate every last bite.
