A Short Drive

The other day we wanted to get out of the house and see some fall leaves. Really all that was out were the yellow colors so we didnt see much but we did drive from our home half hour to Snoqualmie. There we found some falls.  It fails to compare with Bridalvale Falls in Yosemite but none the less it is cool to see.

Snoqualmie Falls here with a uppity spa and hotel with valet parking built right on the rocks at the top of the falls so you can look out right over them.  The place has some history with trains, hyroelectricity, logging, and other things.  A quaint little town in a quiet and reserved area just as you make your way into the mountains east of Seattle around 30 miles or so.

Im not sure my kids really know how to pose for a serious picture sometimes. Here they are acting like clowns.  I think it is partly the mist, cold air and lack of outside activities for a while that made them go overboard with their posing.
