Friday Night Out

We actually went out on a Friday night! We found the drive in and it is cheaper than the regular theatre still so we went. It was quite nice to get out and do something with the kids. We saw Ice Age 3 and The Taking of Pelham 123

The Taking of Pelham 123 R language and short violent scenes

Keep in mind this is a remake of an older movie and is based on a book. This movie I was hoping was going to be a "thrill ride" but it wasnt. Guess it holds true to the NYC subway not that great of a ride. Denzel isnt spactacular and neither is John Travolta who plays the bad guy. Travolta sure likes the F word in this movie so you can tell that there isnt a lot of good scripting. Travolta by the end of the show covers the bad guy at a decent level but still the movie for me was lacking in good acting, and real thrill. Like I said before the lines for the actors werent really written that great so dont expect to see any nominations out of this one.

Ice Age 3 PG mild peril

It just cracks me up that they rate it PG for mild peril that I had to include that here. The movie wasnt that great. There are some funny parts that are mostly only things adults would catch. My 4 year old daughter even rolled her eyes a few times and said "We already saw this one".

It is entertaining enough but overall the first is definately the first, the second is better than this one I think. The best parts are the dinos and the pepe lepue and cat style romance between scrat and lady scrat! You will have to see you what happens with these two and the nut in the end! You might be suprised.
