I pulled up to the roundabout at the library to return books. I noticed the car in front of me was in reverse and started to back up. The car door slightly and was still in revere with no one out of the car yet. So I turned and did a head check and started to back. I turn my head around and a lady falls out of her car. As I slowed stopped her own front left tire ran over her feet. I immediately threw the car in park and got out just as the right back side of the car goes over the curb and her car door crashes my right front corner of my bumber. Another guy saw this and got out and was right at her side. I was halfway between cars and since he was with her I ran back to her car, climbed in, hit the break and threw it in park so it wouldnt hit someone on the sidewalk or keep going into a 2 lane road.
I ran back to help the lady who was sitting up half way asking to be taken to the sidewalk. We asked her about her pain in her head or neck and she said that only her feet were hurt. Obvious wounds to her ankles but she was moving her head and arms around so we slowly and carefully lifted her and put her on a bench by the library doors. Worker from the library came out about this time and asked what happened and they called for an ambulance.
Ambulance came and assessted the situation with the FD and PD. She showed no signs of obvious fractures and no head injuries. Her feet were swollen and one in particular was very bruised.
I am so glad that she didnt get injured more than that. She is luck and Im just glad she is ok! I am now second guessing myself. If I hadnt back up in the first place her car would have just hit my bumper and she wouldnt have even fallen out. Even if she did fall out chances are the car wouldnt have run over her feet like that.
This just confirms to me the power of choices and how limited in thinking you are at the time of an accident. I just wish that I would have done that. Maybe I thought about it but didnt want to sustain damage to my car so I back up. I cant really remember it all happened so very fast.

That is a horrible experience! You can't guess yourself after the fact though. You did the right thing and the only thing you could. I am so sorry. I hope the lady is A-OK and I hope you are too. I have a story like that. I will tell it to you, but we will need to be over the phone. Its too long. I love you.
I'm glad both of you are okay. That was interesting. Something must have been wrong with her physically. For example, years ago, I received a call to come get one of my co-workers of of the hospital. She was pregnant and is diabetic. She'd gone too long in a meeting and as she got in her car to drive down market street in SF, she passed out and another guy recognized her slowly moving vehicle and put it in park and called the ambulance. She was fine, but it was scary.
