Downtown Aquarium

We recently took a break from work, school and the elections (HA!) and went to the Downtown Aquarium. It is a wonderful place there. The kids were fabulous. Baby J just kept looking at everything so interested and pointing. J'alee wanted to get up and look at everything and then sit back in the stroller and then get up again. She loved especially the Dory fish!

They had tunnels you could go through with water and fish above you. You could seel them on both sides and in places even below you. There was a tiger there which I told J'alee her name was Raja (Alladin).

There was a place where they had an exhibit on the canyons and the environment there and how fast it can flood with rains. They actually had water spewing out onto the floor and if you walked by at the wrong time you could get wet. J'alee was kind of scared to watch it fill up and have water fly out at her. We stayed were we could see and still not get wet though.

They even had a place where if you were older than 10 you could scuba dive with a professional among the fish and even sharks. Yes I said sharks. They were small but still they were decent size...they already tried to eat me through the glass! Just kidding.

To keep the envirnment true for the fish and animals and to make it so everyone could see through the glass it was dark inside and so the pictures didnt turn out very well so I cant post most of them. Though they will be my group page on snapfish you can see them there!
They also had a little resturaunt down there where you could eat and the otherside of the wall was the glass to the tank. So it was like you were eating in the ocean. There was a diver than came up to the glass and made the kids laugh a bit it was fun.
