Academy Awards

I hope everyone is as excited as i am to learn who the winners are and to even to see the movies that are the winners. There are some good nominations this year and some bad ones. Who's idea was it to even put Eddie Murphy in a role like that?
Here are my predictions for winners here. There is a link to a complete list of nominations! Enjoy my predictions.

Best Actor:
Forest Whitecar "The Last King of Scotland"
Leonardo DiCaprio does get honorable mentions here.
As does Brad Pitt for getting a best actor nomination in a film he is only show in for about 18 minutes (according to one critic).

Best Supporting Actor:
Eddie Murphy "Dream Girls" unfortunately. How did he get nominated, how did he even get in this film?

Best Actress:
Helen Mirren "The Queen"

Best Supporting Actress:
Jenifer Hudson "Dream Girls"

Best Animated Film
"Cars" will take this award, although i think it was a horrible movie.
The real winner should be "Monster House"

Best Art Direction:
"Dream Girls"

Best Directing:
"Letters From Iwo Jima".

Best Picture:
"Bable" unfortunately
it should be "The Departed" or "Letters From Iwo Jima"

Both Sound Awards:
"Flag of our Fathers"

Writing (Adapted Screenplay):
"Little Children"

Writing (Original Screenplay):
"The Queen"

Well most of these are a guess since i haven't seen any of the movies besides the animated ones. But from what i hear and watching the Golden Globes and the Screen Actors Guild Awards i made my choices.

So i watched The Departed the other night. I don't recommend it to anyone in my family. There was so many vulger words that it was just over the top. The acting wasn't that great, except for Leonardo DiCaprio who did a pretty good job.
Other then that it was just the normal Mob vs. Cops movie that was the same old story. Many people think it should be best picture but i wouldn't go that far.

Well it was good to see a variety of winners in the awards. I liked the picks for best support actor and actress and best actor and actress. I would have liked to see Meryl Streep win for her acting in Devil Wears Prada which was one of the best films of the year in my opinion. I know me like a fashion flick suprising isn't it.
In retrospect I can believe that The Departed won. It is kind of a good story line and there was a few turns in the story that i didnt expect but overall it was predictable. I think if there wasnt so much language i would have loved the movie.

Eddie Murphy rules what are you talkin' about? :) I'm an Eddie fan.
What did you think of Ellen as the host? She cracks me up.

I understand about the whole Eddie thing though... he was cooler before all the Nutty Professors and such. Have you seen Dream Girls? I kind of want to see that now after watching the Oscars.

I would like to see Dream Girls. Although i dont think much of Eddy Murphy anymore. After they annouced the award he was nominated for he got up and left with his girlfriend (even though he is just recently divorced) and didnt come back. wasnt there to see his cocast sing or win.
Then he freaked out to the press about it too. That isn't professional. He was boobin' about how he didnt win. Well buddy look at how many time Johnny Depp has been nominated and snubbed get in line!!!!
