Parent Problem for the Kid

NiceWhen you are little you usually cause the problems you parents stress out over.   I would like to think I didn't cause my parents too much stress.  However, I am facing a problem that I also caused my patents to stress over.

My kids didn't like to read.   I tried to teach them to read and like it but it isn't working.   Guess they are like their dad. Sorry mom.  I now understand the worry this causes.

So I got the bright idea that reading to them in the hall might be good.   I have such great memories of my dad doing that with many stories.

I had an apostrophe :)

My first selection would be Mathilda by Rhonal Dahl.  A perfect combo of p hero, suspense,  action,  humor,  goodness, and more.   What could be better than a book about a girl who loves to read!

Tonight the kids got out of their beds and curled up at floor by me.  We read a whole hour.  It was fun for me and them.  Lets hope they start to like reading more.  I won't hold out for hope but I won't give up trying. To get them to read.

Perfect pick for a book to read! What is even more funny is that we watched Matilda last night. Corban came over and picked that. I could watch it every now and again since I love that movie. The adults in it are so discusting and the author wanted it that way. It's such a grand story. You may not have time for a whole hour every night but I bet they will start to really cherish the time and love the stories. You can also sing, lol!

Awesome! Then you could watch the movie together if they read it. Like a reward. I am glad you can read with them!
