Job Secuirty and Big News

If you havent heard already AT&T has reached an agreement with Duecheut Telecom (cant spell that right) to the purchase of Tmobile.  It is no secret that Tmobile has struggled to turn a profit for years and AT&T with the massive amounts of smartphone users and data usage needs to keep up with the network.

The biggest benefit is to both companies.  This purchase includes the spectrum which makes our calls over radio airwaves possible.  IT also increases the network size and bandwidth so you will see an improvement.  Also this opens up much more 4G coverage into areas that it would have waited for longer.

I personally am excited about it. It will give a huge overhaul to the network and create so much possibility for moving forward into faster better service!

What does that mean for Tmobile customers.  Well nothing for at least a year.  The FCC and the DoJ have to have their say in all of this, audit analyize and vote and decide if it is ok to do.  This is in between the time it takes to identify if Tmobile can get rid of their debt and other stipulations.  If all goes well after a year or so you will see the combining from Tmobile into AT&T.  In the past AT&T has slowly allowed customers to move over from their contracts when it becomes renewal time.  It does unfortunately mean the end of unlimited plans probably after a year or more though.

Once the transition does happen perhaps the first thing you will see is the networks connected so you can roam between the two allowing for a big increase mostly for Tmobile customers.  If you are a more rurual customer of AT&T this means more than likely you have better coverage and maybe even some 4G coverage you wouldnt have had till after 2012.

Im loving it.  Tmobile has a huge setup in the Seattle area anyway so while Im not hot on the weather for 9 months out of the year it is total job security for me and opens up much more possibilities for me.  Click the like button cus this is great!
