A Downer Just a Little

Yesterday was one of those days that things just really conspire together to get you down.  I must admit I feel a bit prey to it but I was really exhausted also.  Most of it was really over a silly thing, glasses.  No I am definately not one for fashion as I was wearing a blue shirt with blue jeans with furniture stain on them and hiking shoes.  I dont care much for fashion.  I did however really want to get something different than I have gotten before so I was really setting my heart on some of those trendy plastic glasses.

My sweet wife just kept telling me that they didnt look good and most of them she was right.  I asked ok is it just something you would have to get used to or something like the Jonas-y.  The lady helping us asked what that was I said like one of the Jonas brothers who has some that are as big as microscopes make him look retarded and needs to get a new designer.  They laughed and K also said I was weird.  I will conceid the point but you gotta admit that the Jonas boy looks absolutely ridiculous with his face in those monster black glasses.

Well funny thing is I ended up not getting the plastic glasses for a few good reasons but what I did get are the same exact shape as the plastic glasses that I wanted.  So why they looked so much worse on me I still will never understand.  Fashion aint smashin after all!  The good news is my new glasses wont be bent and I will be able to see out of them better and with the AT&T insurance we only paid out 60 bucks for polycarb lense for K and I.

Also I came to learn that my daughter has a bully....in kindergarden.  She hits here and apparently has taken her boxes of crayons.  She said that the teacher doesnt help her either so Im quite upset about that and it makes me sad for various reasons I wont mention here.  So we had a good talk with her on how to defend herself and I hope that she does it!  If she tries it and it doesnt work perhaps we will talk with the teacher and ask her to interviene in such a way that it appears as she is still working it out on her own.  I believe it important to work out bullies on your own.

It has been raining for 2 days and there is about 5 more in the forecast.  I honestly was hoping for a bit longer of a summer since the summer really was only about a month long and the rain has been coming and going since.  Oh well it is nice to be here though with a better school for J'alee and a bit smaller area and nicer place.  Perhaps I will work on transferring back down to CA when my job changes in 16 months ish

THAT STINKS that she has a bully! No fun!! I hope you are able to clear things up with a school authority...they really should be willing to do SOMETHING!

Katy,

Well Im in a career development program and I get to change my job with AT&T to something else.

Im excited about it since Im making half of what the state says I should be making for me job type. So hopefully new job more $ means my sweetie wont have to fly back to california much anymore.

Im hoping they will allow me to work from any location I want to and maybe a move back to Cali might be nice, but I somehow doubt it.

I'm sorry about Jenalee. Kindergarten is supposed to be fun and carefree. I would have a chat with the teacher to make her aware of the situation and ask her what Jenalee is supposed to do when this girl is bullying her. My sister had a bully in elementary school that used to pick on her, and everytime the girl would do something to her, both of them would get in trouble. My mom half way through the year had to have a long chat with the teacher and the principle before they finally realized my sister's innocence. I was flipping through some old Friend magazines to do a homework assignment with Madelyn, and in the Sept 2009 issue, there are a few articles about how to deal with a bully, scriptures and bullies, etc. It listed suggestions on what to do if someone is bullying you. You should be able to find it on lds.org. Maybe that will help :)
