Past the Day to Remember

It is a few days past September 11th now.  A day that hopefully most people remember in their minds and hearts of what happened, the people effected, people who helped, the unity of the country and the spiritual feelings and turning to prayer this country hasnt seen before in many many years.

The question is 3 days after the "anniversary" (I hate to call it that, just seems wrong) of the date are we still thinking and feeling that?  Lasting change is the kind that stays with you but it seemed to me that the effects of September 11th didnt really stay with people more than a year.  I guess it is like Christmas where we only think and really feel it one day of the year...or perhaps 2 so we dont lose our presents the night before!

So heres to the victims and their families, to the brave airline passangers and crew, the NYPD and NYFD, military and good samaritans who helped to save people.  I personally think about you daily if even for just a moment to know and remember what happened that day and say a little prayer to myself that I will remember and try to live the way I did when it happened!

thats all rant over!
