Border Crossing

We took a weekend trip up to Birch Bay and wanted to see a few things like the tulip festival and Peace Arch Park.  Peace Arch park is a park right on the border of U.S. and Canada marking the border.  You can walk across Interstate 5 to the middle of it and walk underneath the peace arch.  Cars are lined up on both sides awaiting inspection and document examination in order to cross the border.

Most of my pictures had the kids in them and lets just say it wasnt a good time of day to get pictures of the kids so most of them I'm not sharing.  :(

U.S. side looking into Canada (above and below)

Most of the shots I have are from the U.S. into Canada but I did get a few more of the other way.  That means I got to cross the international border.  The border is marked by granite pillars and runs right down the middle of this arch.

Here is one of the granite pillars along the border line.

Just after you cross these pillars coming into the U.S. you will see this sign on the right side of I-5.
