Movie Reviews

3:10 to Yuma R for violence and language
This stars Russell Crowe and Christian Bale in a rugged western film during the time the South Pacific Rail Road was going through Arizona. Crowe robs from the rail road and kills without question or remorse. Bale is a decent rancher trying to provide for his family. Their paths cross and Bale tries to get Crowe on the prisoner train to Yuma. Not the best acting and not impressive but it was alright. The ending was very climatic though. There is minimual language in this but mostly violence.

Hairspray PG
Despite an array off Disney created "stars", this movie was great! John Travolta is just funny to look at in this film. I guess he wanted to do a musical/dance movie so bad again that he dressed up like a woman. And to see him and Christopher Walken singing and dancing together is priceless.

I thought this was going to be a horrible moive, but it acutally was the best movie so far this year with Ratatoullie second best.

Balls Of Fury PG-13
Stack this one up in the long line of movies made to make people laugh that just failed every time. Bad writing for actors lines and corney plot that just never ended. Christopher Walken appears in th emovie that is the only good part about it.

Stardust PG-13
This movie had some big names in it. It is another fantasy novel adapted into a book. It is entertaining but predictable. The best part is to see Robert DeNero dressing up in womens clothes and singing like a girl. A mental image sure not to leave you for a while.

The Invasion PG-13
This movie stars Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig (the latest James Bond). I wasnt sure if Nicole could pull off the Action/Drama/Thriller role. But I was presently suprised that she did rather well in the movie. Can't say much about it other than it was a predictable alien possessing human bodies boring storyline.
