Monarch Butterfly Migration

It might be a little known fact that Monarch Butterflies migrate. Yes it is true. It is a little known fact that they wont even move if it is lower than 45 degrees and wont fly if it is colder than 55.

It is also little known fact that many stop off in Santa Cruz Natraural Bridges park. There is a little "canyon" with a grove of eucalyptus trees there. The monarchs stop for shelter, warmth, food and even breeding. Beleive me when I say that these pictures are only a small part of branches that were filled with butterflies. It was awesome!

This pic is blurry because it was way up in the trees and I didnt have the lens to focus that far out (dear santa please bring camera and good lens).

Im not sure if it was me or K that took this picture, but I am leaning toward K on this one. Lots of time she gets great shots!
