Santa Clara Mission

I took the kids out for a little bit today while K was trying to sleep. We stopped off at the old California Spanish Mission in Santa Clara. It housed the most Indians. Sadly it has been rebuild 5 times and has been relocated at least once. Now it stands on the campus of Santa Clara University.

This is the chapel that is still functional but the rest of the buildings have been converted into the needs of the university it seems. Class rooms, cafeteria and other things. The grounds were nice with palm trees, wisterias, lilies and others! The best part is it is free to walk through and the campus was very quiet.

We didnt go through the whole thing because it was a campus and we didnt do the tour. We just walked around and got some pictures. It was about an hour that we spent and the best part is that it was free. It was cool to see the buildings made out of adobe as well.
