Bear Lake Retreat

We went on a stay up to a resort to Bear Lake. Since it was free we thought we would use it before the packing and the traveling started. It was nice to get away for a while. It was rainy, windy and a bit on the cold side as you can tell from the pictures.

Here is Baby J who just ran to the water and plopped right down fully clothed and in his socks. It was very wet, soggy and sandy to pull off those clothes and change the soaked diaper. He is such a character trying to play in the water and run after a seagull.
Jalee was also eager to get out there. She ran down the beach and we had to call her back cus she was out so far before we could get there. She ran right in after Baby J was in the water she just walked in and a wave from the wind splashed up her pants and soaked her neck to toes.

She did get cold at the end and started to cry just a little, till dad chanced a seagull with no luck. Baby J on the other hand never cried or showed any signs of being cold.

The place we stayed at did have a swimming pool which was indoors thankfully. It also had a hot tub for mom and dad. The cold and rain made us "old folks" have achey joints. Here is baby J after we put floaties on him, he would just keep waving his arms around till we got to the pool.
Here he is trying to be a big boy and climb into the pool himself. Good thing this one was only 2 feet deep. He could almost touch and keep afloat if he kept his head tipped back instead of trying to drink the water like he always does. He had lots of fun. We would sit him down on the site or stand him up on the stairs and he would jump into our arms. He will even lay back in the water if we hold him. Maybe he will be a swimmer....guess he might be a Phelps Phan.

J'alee of course didnt have a problem either. She loved it with the 2 foot pool that she could play around in without being help up or holding the side. She played a long time in it. She even ventured between it and the hot tub. She would get out when it was too hot and then go back to the kid pool and try and play with the kids. She has learned to plug her nose and go underwater for a second or two and then come back up.

J'alee playing with dad while mom catches baby J on the side. We had the pool to ourselves for quite a while, guess everyone else was out boating in the wind and waves. J'alee always kept calling it the pool house. Ever since Education Week she has been talking about the pool house, guess she really wants to have a pool, so if we move best get her one or else right! HA!
Mom and Dad arent in the pictures, cus we all want to see cute and not hairy, white and cellulite.
